a mental ray fluid file that i cannot open in maya 2019

i have a mental ray file that i cannot see on maya 2019, it s a fluid project, is there a way to open it in maya 2019?

Mental ray is just the render, any maya version should open regardless of render engine.

tks for the answer, its says there are mental ray nodes, i click ok and i cannot see the scene, thats the problem.

Mental ray nodes can be easily deleted with bonus tools or exposed in the extended Dag outliner, find the nodes and delete it, or optimize scene file.

also refresh your fluid scene by hitting 6 or moving the timeline.... or upload a zipped scene here.

Hi!

There is only one single fluid in the scene (nothing else), which tries to load a cache.

If you don't have the cache anymore, which i guess is the problem , then

a) uncheck "Enable" in "humo_claseCache1"

or

b) select the fluid and use in FX menu: nCache -> Delete Cache.

Hi!

Based on your scene-file and screenshots, the cache is in the wrong directory.

Move the cache with OS tools or point to the correct location inside Maya.

If you still can't load it, then just recreate it.

how can i link the cache with the fluid, where s the place where that cache need to be to run the fluid?
