Unable to input side twist attribute value to clip in time editor

Hey, I'm new to Autodesk Maya and I'm having an issue with the 'side twist' attribute in the motion path. I've got several keyframe animations for this attribute, but I can't turn it into a clip in the time editor. Interestingly, I can do it for other attributes like 'front' and 'up twist,' but not for 'side twist.' I've spent three days trying to figure this out, but no luck so far. Any chance you could help me solve this issue?

I put the details in the video : https://youtu.be/iR9eCOlcFK4
@stephenkmann can you help me brother ?...

hhha, called out  by name,,

Well unfortunately I can't make my clips not contain the side Twist ( but I also pretty much never use the time editor)

I thought it might have something to do with having "bank"  on or off but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

I would recommend however.  making  a selectable control for your pathed object. adding the channels to that. and connecting those channels to the 'motion path' channels.

It separates out things a little bit, and makes it easier to access those channels for animating.. and Might fix the issue you are having.

It also adds an intermediate buffer object to put keys/clips on,  so you won't lose that information if you have to delete or remake the motion path

🙂😁 Yes, since Autodesk recommended you to me as one of the best for 'caring' on this platform, and it seems to be true 🙂. And thank you so much for the solution you provided. I am a beginner in the world of Maya, still learning and haven't fully grasped the solution you gave. However, I am very grateful for your guidance. I plan to delve deeper into the solution to implement it properly. If there are additional suggestions or references that might help such keyword tutorial, etc 😁, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again.

What I mean by adding a separate control, is to use something like a locator or nurbs curve that you can easily select in the scene.

add channels to that using the Modify | add attributes

(name them the same as what you see on the motionpath.. and don't give them min and max)

then in the connection editor. connect the channels from your new object. to the motion path

Now you will have a selectable control that you can key, and add to your time editor that isn't directly linked to the motion path

Yeah, that helps me a lot. It gives me a reference for what I'll do next in the most efficient choices for animation. I understand the key points you provided. But for beginners like me, I'll follow animation video tutorials for now. I'll keep this in mind. Thanks for the advice; it's really helpful
