Transfer motion from animated limb (mocap) back to an IKRP handle

Hello,

Back in the Maya 4-6 days I remember when I worked with mocap, I was able to crete an IKRP handle on an animated limb, then selecting the IK handle, I would bake the animation from the limb back onto the IK handle. Doing so would essentially transfer the motion from that animated limb back to the IK handle. This made it quick and easy to make adjustments to the motion.

If I try the same thing today and applying the IK to the animated limb, the IK handle does not track with the limb, it just sits there regardless if I set it to snap or sticky.

Perhaps I am remember things wrong, or I am missing a step. Does anyone have any ideas?
