Time Editor Clip Layer not working

This video explains how I can't seem to have the ability to edit the Time Editor Layer on a clip. It's relying on a motion made in Content Browser, but I'd figure it should still be alterable. 

I've tried Override and Additive, but neither are able to adjust the animated clip. It's keyed, whether i key it before movement and after, neither approach seem to work. If anyone knows how to resolve this can they please show me what I'm doing wrong?

I'm having the same problem.  Maya 2017, 2018, 2019...

I follow time editor tutorial examples exactly and it just doesn't work for me.

Anyone shed some light on this??

Hej ... not sure if i can help - but if using Maya HIK - in order to Override or Addictive layer to work - YOU HAVE TO TURN IK Blend T and R on. ( set to 1 ). I suppose that might be a hint if You have custom rigs.

Using Maya 2022 rn and I after creating a Layer on an Animation Clip I can't put in keys. on some clips I can put in keys, but the keys don't record my movement. On other clips I can't Key at all.

I tried to turn on the IK Blend for the body part I was keying and then it moved, but in a completely different direction and the movement stayed after deleting the keys....

Nothing about Clip layers seem to work as it should, realy sad I pay for this software.
