Skeleton not working correctly

I am new to Maya. I tried to make a character (minecraft type) and crreate a skeleton with humanik (2 spine, no figuers, no toe). When I bind it with my character and try to move it, it just doesnt work as it should. When i try to move an upleg, it move both leg. When I try to rotate leg, it dosnt rotate. When i try to move an arm, it move all the body. How can i fix this ? (and control rig doesnt fix the problem). Also, move things give them weird scale and deformation.

Thanks for your help and sorry for my english.

What properties did you use when skinning? It looks like your Skin weights are not exact.

Go to Skin - Paint Skin Weights Tool and make sure that each joint controls the right mesh with the right weight

(White - has effection, Black - No effection)

If you do not need the geometry to bend, I would consider simply parenting the geometry to the rig (you will need to unBind skin first) it will give much cleaner result.

Like I said , i'm a beginner. What does parenting the geometry mean ? And in my case, do i want effection or not on my joints ?

i found out what the geometry thing mean. I've tried to play with the weight tool, but i could find a solution. I've tried a lot of things, but no matter what i do, i can rotate the leg, but it will bend the spine, i f i rotate the middle of the leg, the leg dont bend but all of it rotate,  when i move the arm, the side of the body move with it, and when i rotate the leg or the arm, they get a weird scale and arent rectangles anymore. Do you have a fix ? If you do, cant you explain the step precisly or give me a link that would explain it ?

First of all, you need to understand if you want your geometry to bend or not. I am not familiar with the Minecraft Style so i can't advise you in that matter.

See how much divisions you have on your model, If you would like your knees and elbows to bend, you will need at least 4-6 divisions for a smooth bend.

If you do not familiar with Parenting in Maya, i suggest stepping back and watching the basics, just so you'll be able to figure out the best solution for your character, Rigging and skinning is a bit intermediate stuff. Check these two tutorial down here about parenting and skinning in Maya.

(you can skip the animation layers for now, it might confuse you more than help you at this stage)
