Skeleton not Binding to Model - Maya 2020

Hello! I hope I'm asking the question in the right place. My problem is that I made a model and I am trying to bind a skeleton on it. However, it doesn't seem to be binding at all. I'm not quite sure what to do. I used humanIK to help create a skeleton. Here's the project file if you need to take a look.

huh, that is incredibly weird. Maybe it was just a small bug? Cause now I can bind it now. Basically what was happening before was nothing was happening when I was trying to bind the skeleton with the skin. I would press the bind skin option, even go through the settings of the bind skin thing, and nothing would happen. They were still separated and I thought I messed up in my rigging or something. I wonder why it suddenly changed?? Could be a small bug or something. Thank you for checking it out for me.
