You can either modify it by going to the attribute editor or simple press "d" and modify with the new gimbal control and then freeze only rotation.

many thanks!

the trouble is the tool does not select, for example

if I use SELECT BY OBJECT TYPE the tool work properly (any tool translate, rotate, scale)

instead of if I use SELECT BY COMP0NENT TYPE the tool does not work .(any tool translate, rotate, scale)

I know the tips you given me, thanks again.

So I would like resolve the trouble.

Hi!

Joints are Objects and not Components,

they also don't have Components.

Check in Menu or Maya online help what type of Components can be selected.

Hi!

Please test this with a new scene and only some joints.

Select the joints first in Object mode, then switch selection mode and try selecting the axes.

If it still does not work:

- Update graphic card driver (maybe just re-install after an OS update), or
- downgrade graphic card driver.
- Try different Viewport modes (in Preferences), like "DirectX".

If it works, but not in the other scene, than your joints may be blocked by an other object.
