Rotation brings up radial menu when I want to rotate.

I'm using Maya 2025.3. I'm not sure if something is on but..every time I want to rotate this radial menu comes up. I'm using a Pro Rigs model "Clunky"  and a Agora Community "Delta" rig. The channel box rotate XYZ works but the viewport gimbal brings up this radial menu. Doing trhe normal action E > Highlight an axis > click to rotate.radial_menu_1.jpgradial_menu_2.png

shift + e   brings up the marking menu for the options for rotate.

(shift + w  for move, shift + r for scale )

I'm not sure what you mean by "the normal E > highlight axis > click to rotate

you should just be able to envoke the rotate tool by hitting e once.

Then anything you select will show the rotate tool.

you can now click drag on any axis using LeftMouseButton. or

click on an axis, and then use MiddleMouseButton in space to rotate on that axis

I have often encountered this phenomenon in the past. However, I do not know the cause of this phenomenon.
However, I do know how to get back to normal.
Press the q, w, e, and r keys a few times at random. After that, if I use the rotate tool, it usually goes back to normal.

Hm. Okay. Well that wasn't the problem. I was using the right button but was getting only the radial menu. I'm just going to cancel Autodesk and go on with life. It's super buggy.

yes,

The Right Mouse button, will pull up object based pop up menu. (ie: poly menus for polys, nurbs curve menus for nurbs curves)

the Left Mouse button , will rotate on the axis you have selected.

the Middle mouse Button , will rotate the orbit rotation ( to camera)

not buggy,  just different controls with different options.
