Rigging an active rigid body

Hi,

I cannot manage to activate the rigid body command and have the rig bind to the skin of the object as this throws an Error 0.

Any ideas / solutions / alternatives.

I basically am trying to model a bunch of stems that will move with the wind. So I need to create individual rigs for each stem and make sure they are active rigid bodies.

Hello,

I´m not sure this is the solution for your case.
You can not create an active rigid body directly from a skinned mesh but only a passive one.
This means you can make your rig collide with other active rigid bodies.
Active rigid bodies are controlled by the rigid solver so you can not animate them directly.

Why don´t you animate by hand 3 or 4 independent stems and then spread them around with MASH?
You can also use paint effects for very realistic grass animation, even though you should build your stems directly with it.
Xgen might be the best solution for a super realistic effect, but it is not super intuitive.
