Random vertexs moved to origin when reopening file

I rigged my character, and saved. All looked good.
But when reopening the file, seemly random vertexes have snapped to the origin point and are greyed out.
The seem to be locked and I can't unlock them, tried completely redoing everything.
But it happened again when i reopened,

Scene file is attached.
Any help would be awesome, I really need to fix this for an assignment.

Hello,  Character opens fine for me in Maya 2023 and 2024.   What version of Maya are you using?  Be sure to have the latest update installed.  Also try loading the Character with GPU Override turned off.

Let me know.

Kelly

Actually, I can repro the issue in Maya 2022 release.  Let me check where this issue was fixed and get back.

I checked in Maya 2022 update 1 and it was fixed.  So should be fixed in all the updates.

Hope this helps.

I was using the student version of Maya 2020. Looks like that was my problem!

Thanks so much for working out the issue, I was convinced I'd made a rigging mistake.

I would have wasted many more hours trying to fix this.

You are the best, thank you!
