PLEASE UPDATE YOUR HELP DOC FOR ANIMATING REFERENCED CURVES

Hello,

While looking in the help doc on how to turn on "Allow edits of referenced animation curves", I noticed that the information provided is inaccurate. See Link.

The location for this setting isn't in the Animation settings in the Preferences window, but instead the "Fire References" section under Settings.

Would be great if we could get the doc updated.

Thanks for pointing that out.  I've logged this defect:

MAYA-131756 Location of option to 'Allow edits of referenced animation curves' is incorrect in documentation

And asked the documentation team to take a look.

In fact, you are linking to the 2017 documentation.  In recent documentation the setting is correctly described as being located in the File reference section of the preferences.

As a best practice,  make sure the year in the url corresponds with the version you are using.
