Paint skin weight color problem

Hi, I am trying to remove influences where they shouldn't be using the paint skin weight. My problem is that the brush stops to work when I erase the others shade of colors from red to light blue but I can't remove the dark blue to have completely black. My settings are: opacity 1, value 0, solid brush, mode Paint, operation Replace, weight type Skin weight, normalize weights Interactive. Maya 2018.

What can I do?

Thanks for your help

Try changing the normalization to "post".

Please share the file. maybe it could be a bug. And also try deleting the "maya" folder from documents.

Thanks for your help. I solved it updating my graphics card. I think was a problem with my laptop and was making Maya crash.
