My 3D character won't move an inch

Hi,

So nobody from my school can help me and I have this current problem: I have to animate a 3D character given by my teacher (detective dude), the only problem is when I Try to move his hand or a specific part of the body, the skeleton moves but not the body??

No one in my class has this problem and I can't contact my teacher since I have to render it for next week asap...  Here's a picture to show you my problem: problem.PNG

Thank you in advance if anyone has a hint or anything to help me... Just to let you know, when I first imported the character into my project, I had to delete its history so it was easier for me to move the body and skeleton at the same time.

Thank you very much!

Were you deleting entire history, or non-deformer one? Once you do regular history delete, the character loses it's link to the rig.

And, you should move neither skeleton not body. For animation purposes you'd key animation on those curves e.g. green and yellow circles around the character's torso, which are parts of the rig you are supposed to use.
