Maya Evaluation Parralel and GPU problems (Screeshots)

Using Maya 2017,

I load into a complicated scene built in Maya 2015. Enable Parallel evaluation with GPU override.
The Heads up Display reflects that both are on. I go into the Profiler, Begin playback, and click "start recording".
as soon as the playback begins, the parallel mode switches to "Disabled" and the GPU override has 0k on it.

I have three characters animated and it cant help at all here?
All my Viewports are on 2.0
the GPU mode i select (Legacy, opengl, dx11) doesnt seem to have any effect.

I have a Nvidia 1060 6GB.
I have a Intel i7 Broadwell 6800k (6 core)
16gb Ram

The EM being disabled doesn't have anything to do with your hardware, it's most likely the contents of your scene. Certain types of Dynamics nodes and the Multi-Chain and FBIk IK solvers are not supported by the EM so their presence will cause it to be disabled. You can verify by turning off the evaluators in the Evaluation Toolkit (Windows -> General Editors -> Evaluation Toolkit) in the 04) Custom Evaluators section. They will be called "ikSystem" and "dynamics".

The more general solution is to remove the problematic nodes and use a supported one, e.g. by switching to a supported IK solver.
