Maya 2024.2 crashing while skin weight

Hello, 
I wonder if anyone else has the same problem as me? I'm using Maya 2024.2 and I'm trying to do skin weight paint and suddenly maya crashes without any warning. And an error pops up on the screen saying due to an unknown error your file has crashed. The file closes and other apps and softwares hang for a few minutes if I try to use them.

If anyone knows what the issue is, why it is happening and the solution for it, please let me know.

I'm checking to see if we have any crashes related to skin weight painting logged.  Are you able to provide a few of the steps that lead to the crash?  Can you share the file that is crashing?

I found this issue:

MAYA-129389 Copy skin weights with selected components crashes Maya

This defect has been fixed internally and the fix will be included in a future release of Maya.
