Hi all.
we've recently up graded from Maya 2018 to Maya 2024. We have some python code that uses the wrap defomer to re-proportion a lot of geometry. We've been using this code extensively in Maya 2018, and although it takes around 3 minutes to calculate the wrap deformations, it worked every time.
Running the same code in Maya 2024 (on the exact same meshes) causes Maya to hard crash.
I'm confident that the code is still valid as I can use the code in Maya 2024 on less poly dense/ fewer objects with no issue.
Has the way that wrap deformers get calculated changed drasticly between Maya 2018 and Maya 2024? Is there any new GPU acceleration present in Maya 2024 that wasn't around in Maya 2018? If so is there a way to disable it?
(Unfortunately, for disclosure reasons, I'm not going to be able to share meshes or scenes)
