I am having an issue with Maya crashing if I do the following:
Create an animation and then create animation layers that persist in the Maya scene. (I prefer not to bake these for specific production purposes). Save the file.
At this point all is well. I can open the animation, playback, do any animation adjustments on the base layer as well as my saved animation layers.
I now make a new animation layer in order to do some additional adjustments to the base layer, make my changes, and then bake this down back the base layer, while leaving my persistent animation layers untouched. My scene looks the same as step 2.
If I save the file and try to reopen, the file opens but any click in the maya scene immediately locks and crashes maya. The file is now corrupt.
Pretty obscure but devastating bug for our workflow.
