IK joints rotate and destroy model (Advanced Skeleton)

Hi! I've been using Advanced Skeleton a lot this year, it's a really great tool!
But I have a really nasty problem, trying to solve a curly cable rig, because once I made the ik to handle it, the joints rotate or twist in its X axis, destroying the form of the cable. I don't know what can i do! anyone have an idea? do I have to constrain the joint rotations? but from where?
