How do I copy a pose from one keyframe to another?

Hello! I'm a longtime Blender user switching to Maya for university.

I'm attempting to copy this hand's pose onto the surrounding keyframes so that the character is pointing throughout the animation below.

In Blender, you select the bones, press Ctrl + C, scrub to the desired keyframe in the timeline, press Ctrl + V, and press I to insert a keyframe. You can find the documentation here.

How does one achieve this in Maya?

Hi!

There are multiple ways of doing this in maya.

1) Rightclick on the timeline -> Copy, move to keyframe, RMB -> Paste -> Paste (or Paste Connect depending on the situation)

2) select the controllers you want to key on the keyframe you want to copy from, Hold middle mouse button and scrub to keyframe you want to copy to, hit S.

3) Select the keyframes you want to copy in the Graph Editor, Edit-> Copy (in Graph Editor), make current frame the one you want to copy to, Edit-Paste

The last method has a ton of extra settings that also allow you to copy from a set time range to a set time range, different merge modes, etc so if method 1) and 2) don't work right use that one.

There are plenty of other methods using time editor, dopesheet, custom scripts, but those are the three most commonly used.

I hope it helps!

Delete any keyframes after that pose frame.
