hi! I'm learning animation and I have a problem with Maya.

I have a problem with graph editor. above graph editor, there are numbers, right? the numbers have decimal point like 2.50, 5.50, 8.50, 11.50...

this is totally useless for me so I want to fix like 1 2 3...

At my schools Maya. there is no problem like this.totally normal.

only my house pc.

student version Maya 2018.

windows 10 pro-1809 (17763.557)

GPU  quadro p2000.(driver updated as lates version)

connected as mini display port cable. pc and monitor

monitor dell p2415q (4k resolution )

I tried to delete the preference of Maya about 10 times. and changed tick span,

but nothing changed.

this problem happens in any data.

this problem makes me crazy. hard to adjust graph editor and grasp the situation in time graph because of this...

I'm not a native English speaker so please ask me if you don't understand what i said.

thank.

Try going to the settings, Timeslider > snap to whole frame.Capture.PNG

Hello,

I can't be sure since I don't have your file, but I think the problem is coming from the file you have loaded.  It might have been saved with a different frame rate (maybe 24fps?).  Try changing the fps drop down in the timeline and see if that adjusts the graph editor timeline to non-decimal numbers.  You might have to try a few different frame rates to get the result you want.

Let me know if this works.  If it doesn't, can you send me your file?

Kelly

I don't think there is any data left.
But I don't think the data is the cause of the problem.
I have found a possible cause for this problem.

Cause
not in recommended Change the size of text, apps, and other items.

Reproducibility
First of all, it was a long time ago, so I don't remember it, but I'll explain assuming the following environment.

  • Windows 10 Pro
  • Version 1909 (OS Build 18363.959)
  • Processor Intel i7-7700
  • GPU NVIDIA Quadro P2000
  • Ram 16GB
  • Maya 2018.6

Display.

  • Dell P2415Q
  • Windows setting:
  • Resolution 3840*2160
**Change the size of text, apps, and other items
    200%(Recommended) Daily use

solution

  1. recommended Scale Change the size of text, apps, and other items
  2. Expand the Graph Editor window created in Windows>Animation Editor>Graph Editor to the side

- - -

I think it's the settings on the Windows 10 pro side **Change the size of text, apps, and other items that are causing this problem.
Look at the image for comparison.
200% (Recommended) settings

scale200%setting.PNG

Maya at 200%(Recommended)

scale200%maya.PNG

175% setting

scale175%setting.PNG

Maya at 175%.

scale175%maya.PNG

If you stretch the Graph Editor window horizontally in Maya at 175%, it becomes an integer

scale175%maya_graph editor2.PNG
I didn't have this problem at 100%, 125%, or 200% in my environment.
The best thing to do is to choose the recommended Scale Change the size of text, apps, and other items.

But if you widen it too much, it will be a decimal point again.
