Exporting animation into Unity not working

I made a running animation in Maya, and tried to export it into Unity, but when I set the Rig type to Humanoid, and go to the model's Animation tab, the animation isn't playing!

I fixed this by turning on "Bake Animation" in the FBX export settings!
