Hi!
making a rollercoaster and managed to bend a small section of track by plotting the rollercoaster's design with ep curve and then turning it into a motion path and using "flow path object" to make it bend.
I figured a much faster technique would be to make a super long track piece and then make the whole thing follow the path at once, but when I try it I get the following error : "failed in creating lattice".
I've experimented although I'm not sure how to fix it. If anyone has any ideas would be greatly appreciated 🙂
With flow, I believe you will have twisting issues with your path. And there are no controls for twist adjustments with the flow node. Might I suggest lofting a ribbon and placing your cubes on the ribbon? You can control the twist and banking of your ribbon by adjusting the loft curves. As for placement of the cubes, you can get the arc length of you path curve and divide evenly with the number of cubes you have. Or by your unit spacing value (distance between cubes). Just another option.
