Hi ,

i try to model a corrective blendshape on my skinned model , (blendshape node  is under the skin cluster ) but vertices slide in weird directions.

i use target type as "object space".

any ideas about that issue ?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

If you are creating Corrective blend shapes (like arm pit corrections) you want to make sure the stack is above the Skin as you want Maya to calculate the Skin first and then adjust the result with the blend shape. Try it the other way round, and try using maybe a Tangent Space or Transform Space target.

You can find these in the Shape Editor by going Create -> Add Target (square). I generally find Transform targets to be more stable than Tangent targets, but they have a couple of limitations.

Hi  ,

Thanks for your response.

i've just tried that yesterday. it actually allows me to model corrective shapes but this time shapes explode in different angles. i might be messed up with  shape editor. painfully i need to start it from the scratch by double check each step.

Thanks
