Copy/Paste in the Graph Editor

Copy/Paste in the Graph Editor

This should have a very basic solution in Maya 2015, but I have yet to find out how to do it:

In the Graph Editor, is there a way to copy keys on a curve on one frame, then moving the timeline to a different frame, and paste the keys on that frame? Currently, it seems the only way to paste keys to a different frame is to enter a time offset in the “Paste Key Options”, but not on the timeline.

I know about copy/paste on the time Time Slider, but this requires having to hold down the middle mouse button and hitting “s” on a new frame to paste an entire pose - I only wish to copy/paste keys from specific channels on specific objects.

Any help is much appreciated.

You can move the red time line in the Graph Editor by holding down the 'k' key while you left-button drag. You should then be able to paste keys at desired frames. Note that the Edit->Paste menu item in the Graph Editor has options that you should set as appropriate.

Thanks for your quick reply!

Yes, I'm aware of K-clicking the timeline to the desired frame to paste the keys, but this

generates no results for me. I'm also aware of the "Paste Keys Options" dialog. I've attached

an image of my paste options.

Thanks again for your help.

See attached. I selected the "translate Y" key at frame 60, and set the copy options to "time slider" and "key." I pasted it at frame 80 with the options shown.

Awesome! Setting the paste option to Current did the trick. Thanks so much for your help, pshwayka!
