Constrains with blendshapes to unity

Hi all,
I've seen a lot of forum topics to do with getting constrains to translate across to unity, but nothing in the same area as i'm struggling with, when they have to follow a blendshapes animation.
In the attached screenshot you will see that I have constrained 6 polyCubes to the edge of the gums, which will work as a path guide in unity for a probe to follow. In this project the gums will recede using Maya's blendshapes, and I need the cubes to move along with the gum recession so the probe will still follow close to the gumline, which works fine in Maya, but I can't seem to get the constrained cubes to move with the blendshapes once I import this to Unity. As if Unity just ignores the constrains. If anyone's got any ideas I would really appreciate it, as i'm pulling my hair out! ....And I like my hair
