Hi i'm new rigging characters in Maya so I have a quick question please, when I finished to rig my character and apply the bind skin I noticed that the armas when they move up the joints for a reason grab also a little. part of the stomach is there any chance or function to bind the skin part to part? I tried to use de faces opción and selecting the geometry and everything was ok but when I tried the second arm Maya said that I already bind the entire skin even if only selected the arm and the joint arm 😞 pls I'll appreciate the help

Hi!

To fix issues like this with the skinning, you can use a tool called the "paint skinweights tool".

(if you type this into youtube you'll get a ton of good tutorials)

It allows you to tell maya specifically which parts of the mesh are affected by which joints.

Also to get a better initiall skinning, use geodesic voxel binding, which works pretty great on standard bipeds like your spiderman.

I hope it helps!
