Hi guys one more question here

I'm totally newbie to rigging, animation and maya. My question is there any way to change a controller shape in a easy way when controller is in used?

Any help would be great.

Hey @Anonymous

The easiest way is to select the control, right click and go to "control vertex"... move those single cv's around to the shape you want and you're set!

You can also add more than 1 control to the control to make it 2 shapes! Simply create your extra control and place it by your joint for example... now freeze transforms and delete history just in case!

Now click the new control, click the down arrow on your keyboard to go to the shape itself, now shift click the other control and on the bottom left write "parent -r -s" as a MEL script and it'll make both controls into 1, no matter which one you select, both are selected!!

Hope that truly helps you out! If you need any additional help in rigging from the very basics to more advanced techniques, I do have a 14+ hour course with over 120+ lectures that covers every single thing in rigging!

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for rply.

Yeah I just found that shape can be changed with controlling the cvs to I can get any shape. But if I want to change a new control with already used control I mean swap. Can it be done?
