Bug with the Animation Tutorial in Maya

Hello All!

I'm a new user to Maya and I've been going through the built in tutorials. When going through the animation tutorial, I keep getting stuck on step 45 - 46, specifically shift+click onto a key frame to highlight it. I'm doing what the tutorial is asking, but I keep getting this error code:  

error runtimeerorr: file stage40.onactivatescript line 8 object 'Timeslider|MainTimeSliderLayouy|formlayout8

(May be some typos since it wouldn't let me copy paste.)

Does anyone know how to fix the issue?

Ive got the exact same problem, and Ive tried it on 2 different computers.

Hey all,

Yes, it turns out the recent changes to the Time Slider broke this part of the tutorial.  I've uploaded a fixed version here.

It is April 2024 and this bug still persists @t_chanma. I downloaded the file you provided, but I think it is time to incorporate that in future updates 🙂

I just tried this in a new copy of Maya 2025 and the tutorial works as expected.  Are you sure you're not sourcing the old file somehow?
