Bug with pairBlend and Auto Key

Hi all,

I'm looking for a workaround to this problem.

autokeybug.gif

Namely, whenever I rotate a node connected to a pairBlend with auto-key enabled, I need to perform the rotation 3 times in order for it to register.

As you can see in the gif above, the channels are updated one at a time. The first and subsequent keys do not have this problem, it only seems to affect the *2nd* rotate edit made.

I found that after setting the 1st key, I can set `Rotate Mode` to `Input 1 Only` which prevents the bug from occurring. But! This attribute resets itself unless you set it *after* the first key has been set. It can also not be connected to anything, which prevents the workaround from being automated.

Has anyone experienced this? Is there any known workaround? It's driving me mad 😄

I did not, I abandoned ship and ended up not using pairBlend. Haven't tested this since Maya 2022, it may have been fixed? If I were to try it today, I would see whether the pairBlend was connected to the rotate compound attribute, or the individual rotate X, Y and Z channels. If not, I would try connecting them to the individual channels to see if that made a difference.
