blending clips in time editor

Hi there,
my problem with the time editor is quite hard to describe.
I want to animate a tarantula walking across a plane, climb over the edge to the other side and walk across the plane again (upside down).
I animated a walkcycle, created an animation clip from that and animated the clip (cycled, grouped and with an override) across the plane. I animated the climbing over the edge and - then I get stuck. I can not use the previously created walkcycle clip, because the climbing over animation is created under the main control-object so that the tarantula is now upside down at the end of the animation.
How can I compensate the 180° rotation of the model under the main controller?
