Best ways to transfer animations?

I have a character animation that I want to transfer between scenes. Can't figure piy a good method to transfer.

-ATOM seems to transfer very messily

-Though tedious, I like copying and pasting frames but when I import an animation, the animation breaks

-Animation clips/character sets can be a bit messy as well, though it's a safe tranfer but has problems when editing the animation

Select what you want transfered then export it as a MB file...then import into another scene...insertion point will be the same.

That doesn't work. I exported and checked if the mb file works fine. The full animation is there in the mb file for the character I'm working with.

I imported the mb file to my scene but all the character animation is lost, but the key frames are there but just stuck at 0.

I'm thinking of going with option 3.

Once I transfer the animation clips, is there a way of getting rid of the animation clips by turning it back into a raw animation?
