I am currently undertaking a mentorship for learning animation through Maya.
Over the course of my mentorship, I haven't run into any errors that crash Maya until now.
Whenever Referencing certain rigs into Maya, it freezes and the task manager shows "not responding". I am unable to select anything inside of Maya, the only option is to end task.
I have attached a screen-print of my task manager after attempting to open a rig along with a snippet of my current PC specs. (I was originally at 8GB of RAM but I have increased it by 32GB to hopefully rectify the issue.)
I have also attached a free rig I was able to use until this issue started. I cannot import, reference or simply open the file to use the rig.
I would appreciate any assistance with solving this issue.
