A problem with controller

Good afternoon, I am new to Maya rigging and wanted to show you a problem I'm having. Here are the pictures, maybe it will ring a bell to someone:

simply put, I create a skeleton for the legs, apply the IKhandle on both of them, and it works fine. If I add a controller to the main Joint (pelvis on top) it works fine, But if I apply a  controller to the lower joints (the ankles at the bottom), the moment I click on parent (constrain), it all flips unpredictably around.

I suppose there must be some option or value off? Could someone see any clue about this?

Thank you in advance for your help and patience.

Hi!

Since you have an IK system in your Leg, all you need to do to create a working controller is to parent your ikHandle under your control.

By creating a constraint to the joint, the calculation of the constraint and the IK System are interfering with each other and lead to misscalculations.

I hope it helps!
