Why can't I orient these joints?

I'm trying to orient 5 joints in a spine with the "Orient Joint" tool under "Skeleton", but when doing so it's only joint 1 and 5 that orients. Thought it could possible be fixed by choosing the parent joint or all the joints and selecting the "Orient children of selected joints" option, but it didn't do anything. Joints 2-4 won't move for some reason. How can I fix this?

Hi!

The orient joint tool orients the main and secondary axis of a joint in relation to the next joint in the chain. So if a joint doesn't have children, it doesn't do anything.

Now, if you have the joints that have children oriented correcly and you want the last joints in the chains to orient in the same way. You can simply select those joints separately, then check the "Orient to World" setting on the top of the orient joint tool and apply the command. This will orient each joint in the same direction as the joint direcly above it in the chain.

I hope it helps!
