Trying to convert skeleton from max to maya.

I was trying to convert the "Krall" skeleton from max to maya. max to fbx specifically.  Many errors created, parts converted incorrectly, bones into meshes etc....  I have maya 2009 and a friend with max. the fbx tool on his end seems uptodate. Is there an online tool that works? Or is just very diff to convert skels across softwares?

You should keep only the skin joints. Other stuff like constraints, hidden joints, etc, will interfere with the transfer.
