Time Editor Mute

Hi,

I've just transitioned from Trax to Time Editor and I'm having a problem that I can't solve through Googling or tinkering so I was wondering if anybody on here has run into this issue before?

When I create animation clips within the Time Editor and then go to mute the time editor to create another animation; all of the controllers collapse to an invisible pile at the zero coords of the scene (from what it looks like).

I've tried sending a previously made clip to the scene ( sources > apply to scene> [clip name] ) with the hope of forcing the controllers and mesh to reset to their correct values. This fixed my issue once and so i thought id just keep a bindpose clip in the editor to fix this issue if it arises again but it didn't fix my problem a second time.

Has anybody else experienced this or anything else strange with the mute/unmute feature?

I've attached a video to this post displaying my specific problem

Thanks a lot,

Alan

(I'm starting to get fed up with Maya now after 6+ years working with it and finding bugs at every turn. Why not just fix Trax's problems instead of creating a new problem?)
