Subtract Skinning?

Hi, in paint skin weight tool, i want to slowly subtract skin weight, like add function. I remember there is a hotkey to subtract skin weight, i've tried hold "Ctrl" button and the result is not like what i was thinking, pls, help me?

Ok, don't know about a hot key for this (if there is one, I hope someone else chimes in because I'd love to know that myself) and I honestly don't know if this is the "right" way or not, but to remove skin weights, the way I do it is change the settings under Min/Max value.  There's two boxes there and usually the left box is set to 0 and the right box set to 1...switch it...set the right box to 0 and the left box to 1, then give it a try.  The brush should paint black for you now, which removes the skin weights.

 

BTW...if not already, make sure you're using black and white for skin weights...working with those color gradiants always seems to make things worse for me.

 

Hopefully someone will have a better suggestion, but that should get ya started.

Oh...for the "slowly" part of that, try kicking your opacity down as well.  🙂
