Rotating tangents results in Maya changing key timings by itself

Hello, I am trying to do a cycle for an animation and I have this weird behavior where Maya changes the timing of the keys itself when it judges the curve slope is too much. It makes it very cumbersome to do said cycle. I never had such issues on 2022 from what I recall, is that a new bug from 2024?

Hi!

This is a known bug.

Please select the handles and make sure there are no keys selected, then use middle mouse-button to edit the tangents, this works as intended.

Hi @agato.majima,

Thank you for reporting. This is a known issue, logged as:

MAYA-134112 Graph Editor : Editing tangents with multiple keys selected moves keys unexpectedly

We are looking into this issue. For a workaround, you can change the Move tool settings:

  1. Select Edit > Transformation Tools > Move Keys Tool > options box
  2. In Move Keys tool settings, set the Move option to Move only

Regards,
Marie-Jeanne
