I accidentally animated a bunch of stuff on my original rig file. Is there a way I can reference the rig with those key frames to a new file in Maya?

Not sure what you are asking.  If your rig file has animation on it.  And it's been saved.  Then you can just reference the rig file into a new Maya scene file.

Yes. You can reference your rig file with those keyframes. But keep in mind, once you reference it then you can't edit the keyframes in your new Maya scene. You can create new keys on it but to edit the existing keys, you have to do them in the original rig file.

Hope this answers your question.
