Problems with bone Influence not following the bone, plus multiple skinning system problems

Hey there, I am getting multiple issues. Main one is that I am using interactive skinning and once activated. A major bone is moving in the skeleton, but the influence bone in the skin is not moving with it, like for like. It seems to only be half moving. (Please see images attached).

Also I have used the normal bind skin function instead of the interactive skin mode and that returns better deformations intially across the rest of the bones and mesh. (It still does not change the issue above though - that still stands)

Another issue also, is that some skin modes forget bones I have selected and leave them out of the skin. So they do not appear in the paint skin weights tool, or they appear and they have zero influence , which is extremely unhelpful

Issue Solved: I had to delete the constraints for that bone, then unlock the bone, make sure the bone was freeze transformed in rotations. Then re-constrain and lock the bone off. It seems to not fully read constraints if the bone is still locked.
