Title says it, here's the details:
I am working on my first skeleton and have run into tons of proplems, many of which would be solved by me using the Orient Joint tool. The skeleton I'm making is a pair of hands and arms leading towards a cape.
The Issue:
While the tool fixed the orentation issues with the cape, the joints on the hands were a different story. The joints for the fingers failed to reorient themselves towards their children (or at all for that matter) and the joint for the wrist refuses to orrient itself to the world, always having the x, y and z axis be ever so slightly off. When other joints are told to orient to the world, they mimic the same slightly askew rotation, and refuse to orient themselves to their children afterwards (this has not been tested anywhere but the hands and arms for fear of irreparable damage to the part of the skeleton that does function properly).
I have made sure to reset the tool and check that I am using the proper axis parameters. Attached are images of various perspectives of the problem area. The main wrist joint is unparented due to my attemt to orient it to world. The second wrist joint and locator are intentional and not superfluious.
What is the best course of action for repairing my skeleton? I am happy to provide more information if needed.
