Multiple animation clips (one model) import to Unity

I was able to successfully import to Unity from Maya 2018, but I can't combine similar motion clips into one. This makes the Unity project file super large. Recently, I discovered an asset that has multiple animations for one model. Screenshot below. Basically, the structure that I have right now is the one on the left. What I want is the one on the right. What kind of workflow do I need to have in Maya? I tried to copy/paste the animation clips from one prefab to another in Unity, but it seems they're all non-editable (read only).

Thanks.

Never mind. Just figured out how to do it. Basically, you have to use Game Exporter in Maya 2018.

  1. Open Time Editor
  2. Prep or drag all the animation clips there (I have them in separate fbx files).
  3. Menu -> Open Game Exporter
  4. On Animation Clips tab, split the clips based on keyframes and name them.
  5. From settings select "Save Clip to Single File" and check "Bake Animation"
