Maya Undo Does Not Work

Hey guys, Maya will not undo a key after I press playback.

I tested it - I rotated something and keyed it without playing back the scene, and everything could undo fine.

Then I tested the same rotation and keying, pressed play, and then nothing would undo past when I played the scene.

There are no error messages, it still says "Undo" in the status bar, but the command appears to be empty.

My settings are correct, undo is set to on and infinite.

I have Maya 2018.

This is no problem here.

Please update your Maya and try a reset of your preferences.
Rename the folder prefs in folder 2018 to something like prefs_backup, or to reset everything, the folder 2018 to 2018_backup (or even the maya folder to maya_backup). Maya creates new folders (don't copy preferences from previous Maya versions). Detailed at:

For further help, please add an example scene with the exact steps how to reproduce this.

I have this same problem with maya 2024 ..every time i hit play my undo never works after it..it also come up with error "POUR INFO UNDO:"
