Maya to UE4 mesh import fail

Hey so I created a model that I wanted to use in a game I was developing in UE4. However, after I created the rig for the model and attempted to import it, UE4 simply fails to do so. I realize that my model is broken up into multiple parts (a polygon soup) but I've seen people be able to import models of their own with multiple parts into UE4 so I know it is doable. I've also tried multiple different methods such as using the skinning tab, parenting the geometry to the joints, etc. Regardless of what I do, the model won't import. (Note: It exports perfectly fine from Maya. The problem is once it gets to Unreal.)

My Unreal engine version is 4.22.3 and Maya is the 2019 version.
I have included an image of the error that I get in unreal below.

Thanks in advance for the help and let me know if I can provide any more details to make the problem clearer
