I am having problem creating hair collision. I try to follow a tutorial from 2012 where one can apply "Make Collide" from nhair to create hair collision. However, I notice this technique is no longer viable in my current version(2016). So the question is how do I create hair collision ?
Just a little insight, I use Maya Bonus tool(Rigging) to create dynamic joint.
The following outliner, is the end result create dynamic joint , I created two dynamic joint for my character pony tails.
I manage to stimulate secondary action of the hair like intended now, is the hair collision part that I complete lost. As you can see from the image below, the hair move straight through the arm.
I try feel method I manage to acquire from the internet . However, None seem to work.
Method 1,
following the suggestion by a member from CGTALK http://forums.cgsociety.org/archive/index.php?t-1414230.html
I try to create a passive collider from ncloth and control the nucleus from my hair to it.
Method 2,
following the guide https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/maya/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2015/ENU/Maya/fil...
I try to share my existing Nucleus(Hair) with my body through "assign solver" from Maya's Fields/Solver panel. However, whenever I try to apply an error appear.
At this point, I'm completely lost. Am I using the right method or there is a better way to create hair collision? Expert guidance is really appreciated. Thanks you.
Sincere apologize for not posting this in dynamic section, I was not aware of that section when creating this post.
