Issues baking animation for unity

Hello,
I’m trying to learn how to export an animation I made in Maya into unity. I’m new to this, and I know that I need to bake the animation into the skeleton rig. The problem is I am using a rig I downloaded online, specifically the a dragon ball z kid buu rig. I can’t see the bones even if they are selected in the “show” tab. If I select all by type and bake the animation that way, when I export the FBX file Maya freezes and I have to force quit through the task manager. And when I check to see if the file exported it isn’t where I exported it to. Does anyone have experience baking animation with rigs they downloaded online?
