Is it possible to add an advanced skeleton face rig on a human IK rig?

Bear with me Im new to rigging, I have a model I characterized with the humanIK in maya, and I would like to rig the face with advanced skeleton is this possible??if so can somebody please give me some tips on how I can accomplish this or point me to a good tutorial on this topic please!

Of course it is possible. You should create a joint. Then bind the entire face geometry to it.
