Graph editor issues classic to modern

Hi,
I'm trying to make a move into the future and use the modern graph editor instead of the classic, but I'm getting a bit frustrated with the differences in how they work. In classic I was quite used to having my W hotkey be the move tool with exponential falloff, so I could soft select my keys and then use the E hotkey to move with a constant falloff. I’m annoyed to find that in the modern graph editor, if I choose exponential falloff, there’s no escaping it, my old workaround is no longer viable. Does anyone know how to get around this? I quite liked quickly being able to soft select my curves and then move them all if I needed to, it allowed flexibility. Additionally, left click to adjust seems to be on all the time, whether I have it turned off in my prefs or not.

Also! Switching between tools or running the Euler filter automatically selects all of the animation curves, where it didn't do that in classic.
I’d like to join the future, but it just doesn’t work the way I'd like.

Thanks!

Did you find any solution to the move key tool? I use the same hotkeys and having the same issue.  We just switched to Maya 2022 and there is no longer the option to use the classic graph editor anymore....
