Golaem crowd license

Incredibly disappointing to find the Golaem license isn't active for Indie Maya users. It seems to only be active for the full priced M&E suite.

Can anyone else confirm or deny this?

Hi!

A Maya subscription does not include Golaem.

Golaem is only included with a subscription to the Media & Entertainment Collection.

Yep - what a croc-o-stimpy. Say goodbye to Golaem - as if there would be enough people using this to justify its maintenance, it's literally a death sentence for this plugin.

Are there any alternative plugins for us peasants to use?

I understand why Golaem has not been added to a Maya subscription "for free". However I don't understand why it's not available as a separate product. Maybe someone thought putting it inside the collection would be a better price-performance ratio and more attractive to customers compared to other solutions.

There are still other 3d party crowd software solutions available. Just some examples:

- Massive for Maya

- Miarmy

- Atoms Crowd

In Maya itself Bifrost can also be used for crowd simulation, although in the current state it's not comparable to some specific crowd solutions.

The MASH army - obviously there is no behaviour and the IDs are a nightmare - but close enough.
