Exporting rigged pose as OBJ

Hi Guys,

So I have a rigged figure, and I want to be able to pose it in a certain way then export it as an obj for ZBrush.  However, when I attempt to export, it doesn't even have obj as an option.  Sorry if this sounds like a basic question. I'm pretty new to Maya

Hello,

Did you try the following.

Procedure for exporting an object from Maya as OBJ:
  1. Select the object or objects you want to export.
  2. Choose File > Export Selection from the menu bar.
  3. From the Files of type dropdown, select OBJexport.
  4. Keep all Options at the default settings.
  5. Enter a File name and click Export Selection.

This worked for me.  However, I only did the round trip exporting out of Maya and importing back into Maya.  I did not import into Zbrush.

Let me know,

Kelly
